Terms
Terms & conditions for Shree Chaitanya Gaudiya Math
Last updated
These terms cover the use of shreechaitanyagaudiyamathinfo.com and the basis on which a room at Shree Chaitanya Gaudiya Math, Puri is held and confirmed. Using this website means you accept them.
The most important point comes first: no booking is made on this website. It has no reservation system and takes no payment.
This website does not take bookings
Every page here is information. Rooms are held and confirmed only in a direct conversation — a phone call or a WhatsApp message — with the Math. Nothing shown on this site is an offer, a reservation or a guarantee that a room is free.
A room is yours when we have told you, in that conversation, that it is confirmed for your dates. Until then, please assume nothing is held. Around Rath Yatra, through Kartik and at weekends the rooms fill quickly, and we would rather say so than let you travel on an assumption.
Rates and payment
The tariff published on this site — ₹800 for a non-AC double, ₹1,000 air-conditioned, ₹1,800 for the two-bedroom family suite and ₹1,500 for that suite without air conditioning — is the rate for an ordinary night. Group accommodation is quoted on enquiry. Rates may change; the rate quoted to you when the room is confirmed is the rate that applies to your stay, and any taxes or charges are told to you at the same time.
No payment is taken through this website. Payment is settled directly with the Math.
Check-in, check-out and identification
Check-in is from 12:00 noon and check-out is by 11:00 am. A valid photo ID is required for every adult guest at check-in; we cannot give a room to a guest who cannot produce one. An early arrival or a late departure may be possible, but only if the room allows it on the day — please ask rather than plan around it.
The number of guests in a room may not exceed the number confirmed for it. If a group arrives larger than the booking, we may not have the space to accommodate the difference.
While you are staying
This is a math and a place of worship, not a hotel. Meat, fish, eggs, alcohol and tobacco are not permitted anywhere on the premises. Guests are asked to dress modestly, to keep noise down — many devotees rise well before dawn — and to treat the rooms, the temple and the common areas with care. Guests are responsible for damage or loss they cause.
Anything illegal is not permitted on the premises. We may decline or end a stay where a guest's conduct makes the Math unsafe or unpleasant for others.
Changes and cancellation
Plans change. If you cannot come, or your dates move, tell us as early as you can — a room we know about is a room we can give to someone else, which around Rath Yatra matters a great deal.
Any deposit or cancellation terms that apply to your stay are told to you when the room is confirmed, and are the terms that govern that booking.
The information on this site
We have tried to make every page accurate, and we correct anything we find to be wrong. Even so, details change: distances are approximate, facilities can be out of service for maintenance, and what is available today may not be available next month. Nothing here is a warranty. If a particular room, facility or arrangement matters to your trip, please confirm it with us before you travel.
Belongings and liability
Please look after your own belongings. Valuables left in a room or in a common area are left at your own risk, and vehicles are parked at the owner's risk.
To the extent the law allows, Shree Chaitanya Gaudiya Math is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this website, or from circumstances outside our reasonable control — weather, cyclone warnings, road or rail disruption, power or water interruptions, or the temple's own arrangements for darshan and for Rath Yatra.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Links to other services
This site links out to Google Maps, and to WhatsApp when you tap a message button. Those services are run by other companies under their own terms and privacy policies. We link to them because they are useful, not because we control them or endorse everything they do.
Content on this site
The text, the design and the photographs belong to Shree Chaitanya Gaudiya Math and may not be copied or republished commercially without permission. Every photograph on this site is a photograph of this Math.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes arising out of them are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Puri District, Odisha.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the Math changes what it offers. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed. The terms that govern a particular stay are the ones in force when that room was confirmed.
