Privacy policy for Shree Chaitanya Gaudiya Math
Last updated
Shree Chaitanya Gaudiya Math is a math with accommodation for pilgrims at Basanta Road, Balagandi, Puri, Odisha. This page explains what happens to your information when you visit shreechaitanyagaudiyamathinfo.com and when you contact us about a room.
The short version: this website has no forms, no accounts, no payments and no tracking of any kind. We hold nothing about you unless you get in touch, and then only what you tell us in order to arrange a stay.
What the website collects
Nothing. There is no sign-up, no enquiry form, no shopping basket and no newsletter on this site. It is a set of pages that are the same for every visitor, so there is nothing for it to remember about you and nowhere for it to put it.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We set no cookies and use no local storage. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no heatmap and no visitor counter. We do not know how many people read this page, and we have chosen not to find out.
The typefaces are served from this website's own domain rather than fetched from a font service, so reading a page does not announce your visit to a third party.
The one exception is the embedded Google map, described below.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare's network. Like any web host, it records the technical details of a request — the IP address it came from, the time, the page asked for, and the browser and device that asked — in order to serve the page, keep the site up and block abuse. Those logs are held by Cloudflare under its own terms and retention periods, and they are not linked to a name.
We do not build profiles from them, and we do not export or analyse them.
The embedded map
The Location and Contact pages embed a Google map so you can see where the Math is. That map is loaded from Google, which means Google receives your IP address and device information, and may set its own cookies, when the map loads. This is Google's processing, under Google's privacy policy, not ours — we receive nothing from it.
Every other page on this site loads no third-party content at all. If you would rather not load the map, the full postal address is written out beside it in plain text, and the directions work just as well typed into any map application you prefer.
When you call or message us
Room availability is confirmed by phone or WhatsApp, so an enquiry naturally tells us some things about you: your name, the number you are calling or writing from, your dates, how many are travelling, and anything else you choose to mention. We use it for one purpose — answering your question and holding a room — and for nothing else.
WhatsApp messages are delivered through WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta and governed by its own privacy policy and encryption. A phone call travels through your mobile operator's network. Neither is under our control.
We do not add enquirers to a marketing list, and we do not send promotional messages. If you have not asked us about a stay, you will not hear from us.
At check-in
A valid photo ID is required for every adult guest at check-in, and the guest register records the details a lodging house is required to keep. Those records stay at the Math, are kept for as long as the law requires, and are shown to no one but the authorities entitled to ask for them.
Who else sees your information
Nobody, in the ordinary course of things. We do not sell, rent, trade or share guest or enquiry details with travel agents, booking platforms, advertisers or data brokers. There are no agents in the middle here — when you call, you are speaking to the Math.
The only disclosures we would ever make are the ones we have no choice about: a lawful request from a public authority, or what is needed to establish or defend a legal claim.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into a stay are kept only as long as the conversation is live — a message thread on a phone, essentially — and are deleted when it is plainly over. Records of an actual stay are kept for as long as accounting and lodging rules require, and then no longer.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask what personal data of yours we hold, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and ask us to erase it where we are not required to keep it. You may also withdraw a consent you have given us.
Ask by phone or on WhatsApp using the details on the Contact page. It is a small establishment, so the person who answers is the person who can act on it. Tell us enough to find your record — the name and number the booking was made under is usually all it takes.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
This website is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone, of any age. Children travelling with their families are of course welcome at the Math; their details reach us only through the adult making the booking.
Keeping it safe
The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiry details live on the phone or in the mailbox that received them and in the Math's own register, and access is limited to the people who run it. No system is perfectly secure, but the honest protection here is that there is very little to protect: we hold no database, no card details and no passwords.
Changes to this policy
If the site ever gains something that changes this — an enquiry form, online payment, or analytics — this page will be rewritten before that feature goes live, and the date at the top will change with it. There is no version of this policy that quietly starts collecting more than the one you are reading.
